FAQ - P2P Transfer

P2P Transfer is an application that allows you to have multiple machines transfer P2P hashes / torrents to a single download server, without having to login to the remote server or copying the file manually. Transfers are encrypted to ensure the best possible privacy.

  • The first thing you should make sure is that server machine is running the P2P Transfer Server
  • Then check what port the server is using ( Find out more here ) (default is 8549 )
  • Make sure the P2P Transfer server or client is not being blocked by a firewall

In short: Security ( It requires higher access to write to the settings file then to read it )

Longer version:
Because it requires higher access to write to a file then to read it, both the client and server program would have to run in Administrative mode to be able to save the settings. Since that is a bad solution, a separate executable is used to write settings.
